Derbyshire RC Tank Division
Re: Derbyshire RC Tank Division
So..
With the new year coming up, and this thread being a little quiet, I'm giving it a bit of a kick.
Do we want to look at arranging a meetup in the new year?
I know at least one park in Nottingham that may be usable, and part of it could be good for more off-road type work as well.
Cheers
Ady

I will be “popping down” from Scotland over the weekend. It would be kind of nice to meet on the Sunday morning for an hour, if practical, before I head back North later in the day..

Please do get together, gentlemen. I so often wish I could come back to Scotland to meet you. And I will always be grateful for the advice to try the Potstill in Glasgow. My dear held up to the Potstill whiskey and beer quite well back in 2023 while I had to hang onto a wrought iron railing after just the same. But a mere two glasses of Wassail two weekends ago had a devastating effect on her. If you can meet up, photos maybe..?

If I may suggest? It seems that Ilkeston is central to those that have shown interest, so I suggest there as an initial option? There is a small car park off Manners Road, and I suggest the band stand? There is a model shop in Ilkeston as well, who has a large area at the back. If approached, they may allow use in winter. As I am down visiting family.
I can only spare about an hour, so I thought about 10:30.
It would be nice to put some names to faces, and tanks.

I can visualise you staggering up Hope Street, escorted by your young beau.Herr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 1:22 am And I will always be grateful for the advice to try the Potstill in Glasgow.
