FV 107 CVRT 30mm

Post by Docomar750 »

Hi All

Not been on for a while just found my old STL files for the Spyker FV107 so seeing as I have now got a Bambulabs P1P I am going to print it out and attempt to make one. Going to have to try and source a TK22 board here in the UK

Pictures to follow as I build just got lots of printing for now.

Do you have the older version designed for the tamiya yellow and blue gears, or the later one intended for the gears that he no longer makes?

The 1.2 version I have has the CAD files for the gears so I'm sure PCB Way can make them in metal and he includes the STLs so you can print the gears.

I have the files for the 1.2, and got a set of gears done (at great cost) on Shapeways last Christmas (yet to test them, before anyone asks) - but I would like to get my hands on the older gearbox design and try it with the Tamiya gearset, as Spykers skinny gears don't look all that durable.

Hi

I believe its the 1.2 version but I will try and fit the tamiya gearbox in as I bought when I first got the files falling that I can print the included gears in Carbon fibre or try to make them on my little cnc

Going to needs to follow 1.2 version fully as tamiya gearbox drive shafts to small and he doesn’t support the model anymore, going to try the gears in PLA carbon fibre and can’t find drive shafts anywhere but you can download a file for them got it converted to STL and put in for pcbway to print them in aluminium. Will see how this goes

If I were you, I'd read up on carbon fiber filaments. Most of them are weaker than their non-carbon variants. If you want strength I would do nylon, but nylon is really hard to print well. Carbon "enhanced" filaments are mostly for aesthetics.

Hi

Anybody built this tank just printed the transmission holder and it doesn’t fit the hull correctly and none of the screw points on the bottom line up with the holes on the lower hull V1.2 transmission can’t be fitted as the lower hull is designed for V1 transmission?
