Tamiya Strumtiger Model

Post by michaelwhittmann »

Not my cup of tea but it was a birthday gift from my Grandson.

It was more fun than I thought (except installing the track).

Let the weathering begin.

It that one of the static kits with 4000 parts to put together the track links? I have a few of those in 1/16. Yikes! It is interesting to see some interior detail.

I've come to think my cobbled together Torro/Taigen Sturmtiger with a Clark is my favourite AFV. Fantastic running tank and also maybe my best IR battler. first time I saw a video of one when I first got into the hobby I too laughed and thought why would anyone want one of them

Herr Dr. Professor:

Here is the detail of the breach block. Many small pieces but you can envision
how the vehicle operated.

The track installation was developed by the someone who hates humanity.

From a certain age, it's better to keep your hands off small things...
like photo etched parts
Tanks smaller than 1:16
and many more... :haha: :D

The Torro Sturmtiger with BB function is hilarious: a tiny BB flies out of the big barrel. I wish I could figure out some way to make the Sturmtiger pop out a flag that says "BOOM!"

Years ago (1975), Bob Dylan put out a record album called "Blood on the Tracks." Yours is "Mud on the Tracks." :D I cannot imagine that an RC model could keep on that much "mud"; whereas, your static model can imitate a real tank that is in the process of constantly re-applying the mud. :haha:

Love that album and I love mud.

Many moons ago, I played a WW2 board game called World in Flames.
I remember you had to make regional weather rolls. As the German player, you never
wanted to roll mud in Eurasia. 2X movement points for all units.
Pripet Marshes totally impassable.
