Wespe

Post by Sam84 »

Well recently I have decided to do a wespe, only just finished it after a long build it has finally got undercoat on it, got both of the prints off of cults, the panzer two tank was from legion_doom great design and easy to print, for the artillery piece of the wespe I ended up using a print from banshee350 another great print and easy thank you to both of these guys.

The electrics I used henglong tk7 board with Tamiya gearboxes. Elevation and rotation I used two servos but disconnected the servo board and just soldered the henglong wires direct to motor. I'm a bit stuck on the recoil though just haven't quite figured out how to do it, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know :D .

Here are some of the build pictures and will put finished model up soon.

Hope you all enjoy :D :D

Nice start. Assuming 1/16th based on the glue bottle. Still looks like a cramped for room build. Which Tamiya drives did you use? Looking forward to the build.

Interesting: "HengLong tk7 board [...] two servos but disconnected the servo board and just soldered the HengLong wires direct to motor." If you post more photos (as Ecam and I hope) I would like to see this set up. Carry on!

Here are some more pics, it is a rc 1/16 scale. For the servos there was a post on the forum not so long ago explaining how to change servos from 3 wires to 2 wires to use them as an ordinary motor for the tk7.0. two pics I've posted are of the 9g servo and the gearboxes :D :D

Rings a bell, I think I saw that thread! Great work. I sometimes get frustrated with the lack of room in my Shermans and then guys like you come along and work with tanks with far less room. Well done solving the issues, this is coming along great. We have a smaller scale section that may help with ideas if you need them. viewforum.php?f=128
