I'm surprised too that the Pershing is so rare. I couldn't believe when I had the good fortune to get a PZIV. PZIV is definitely rare and also a Panther NIB. Both from the UK. Basically I thought they were unobtainable but I got both for less than $1K Canadian each with shipping and duty but the 2 others I have seen on ebay since I got into the hobby were just insanely priced. A couple of years ago there was a NIB Pershing for sale on Kijijii in Toronto for $695 I think the listing lasted about an hour

I seemed to have just missed getting a leopard 1 a couple of years ago, distinctly annoyed about that to say the least.
