Merci Monsieur Jofaur, I appreciate your praise and for following along.
I'm going to take a break from my own projects for a while and get stuff done for a mate that has a lot of things to do !

ACHTUNG! Atop the usual Hermanization, there are quite a few great painting and weathering tips in this now fifteen-page thread.

That really turned out great. I like the 2 tone camo with the green and with JPIV's not being the most common build to start with the concrete makes it stand out even more. I'll have to give my JP IV a good run outside before the weather turns after watching this build

In black base shade.
White highlights and maybe the glazed top coat on Sunday.

And with these 2 jokers done Im finished with painful figure painting for as long as I can avoid it :-<
As a figure modeler I prefer anything else !!

Still, they are in and will do for this kid.
As long as they pass the 1 Meter distance test, thats good enough.

Your figures demonstrate to me that I need to be more bold about variations in shading, especially the faces. When I get through the current batch of four rather poorly sculpted ones, I have two much better sculpted and will try your techniques. I even have a set of Abteilung oils (I think I have the brand correct) for skin. As you might understand, I am both scared and eager to try them.
