So I pulled the trigger on it today. Said it’s in stock and should arrive in 7-15 days. Although I’m disappointed about the MFU situation, I think I have found a work around in Open Panzer, and I am excited to open it up and see what’s under the hood.

Will report back here once it arrives. Going to have to get a truck ramp.
On bigger models like this, there are usually tons of different options to "fix" stuff as there is plenty of space to fit things.

Haha, thanks!

Yeah watching videos of people drive theirs up into their trucks looks scary. Hope the speed control on the tank is good.

This is the one I ordered, but it was in a 5ft version for my 1/6th scale tanks: https://www.amazon.com/BEJONI-Aluminum- ... 140&sr=8-5
I like the anti-slip texture on it and it won't separate in the middle. It folds in half to take up less space and since I got it during Prime days it was only like $89 shipped. Seems the 5ft version is sold out or something since I can't find it on Amazon anymore.

Here is a video they sent me tonight of them testing it prior to shipping it out on a boat. There was a lot of back and forth between them and I about what modifications they could do prior to shipping it.

Something I wasn’t expecting was that they painted it, which, although I’m not a fan of their paint scheme for the Abrams, saves me some time of having to paint it before I run it outdoors. I can always repaint it later I suppose.

With the shipping time they gave me, I’m hoping it’ll get here just before Christmas.

Bonus video showing the hatches that open and close. Not pictured are the drivers hatch, which I’ve seen opening and closing in another video, and the main gunners sight block doors, which they assured me opened and closed.

Fingers crossed

Be nice if the sound was from an Abrams. Seems to run well. I hope you like it.

Yeah, I already have designs on replacing the MFU and with it, the sound. I’ll see what I have to work with when it gets here. It is frustrating that it seems to have a lot of the same issues that their 1/16 scale Abrams has, but I’ll figure out some work arounds.

It shipped a couple of days ago on a boat. Should arrive at the docks around the beginning of December. Hopefully get my hands on it before Christmas.

Just got in a custom order from DKLMRC for a 1/8 scale version of their OKMO SEPv3 kit. They did an awesome job! The LP CROWS is motorized for both horizontal and vertical movement and the camera moves up and down with the gun.

I also purchased their 1/16 version and I don’t think it is motorized, so it was really awesome they were able to fit that in with me asking for it.

One of the optics is large enough to fit maybe fit a Caddyx Ant Nano camera, certainly an Uktra Tiny TBS camera, and the neck of the gun mount is hollow with an offset gear to turn it, so it will be easy to run wires down that and into a slip joint.

Tank doesn’t come in until December, hopefully, so I maybe jumped the gun on getting this before confirming the actual scale of the tank is 1/8. Hope everything works out.

Tank is estimated to be delivered to me on Monday. It’s been a nail biter waiting to hear news of where it is. Package is 252 lbs according to the shipping details, although I think only 130lbs of that is the tank.
