The tiger arrived!!
Re: The tiger arrived!!
One other point on the Asiatam hull, the componet tray was not made with the rx-18 board in mind. The mounting post don't line up,I removed those post and used metal post, but it has been a very good purchase.

Ahh its a good thing RX18 has a plastic housing, I guess it would be good to stick it somewhere perhaps as far as the motors can reach, those wires are not very long!

Hey Tribalmasters welcome to the world of the HL Tiger. The fun (and the spending) starts here as there is so much you can do with it!!! I would recommend the Asiatam lower hull as you might have seen from my posts the amount of strengthening I have had to do to the lower hull, especially with the metal tracks mine has fitted. The other problem that the asiatam hull will cure is track tension as it comes with tensioners fitted.
Good luck mate.

Re: The tiger arrived!!
Thanks Chris! These lower hulls are awesome! My Panzer III is much improved with the Asiatam lower hull so now it is time to upgrade the Tiger! I really like the size, looks and lack of many small plastic parts on the upper hull of the Tiger 1 compared to the Panzer III, its alot bigger and its tracks are wider, it also has a nice gun
but it is time to say goodbye to the nasty plastic! I had a bit of trouble fitting my wheels to the metal hull of the Panzer III and I didn't like using the hammer to get the axles of the return rollers in in case it damaged my shiny expensive hull. If I can't get one for the tiger with already fitted wheels, do I need to hammer the tiger's wheels?

Re: The tiger arrived!!
No,do not need to at all,the control arms have set screws and the axle shafts have a flat spot that lines up with the set screw. The other option, because the asiatam axle will not work with stock wheels so I threaded the control arms and made axles with shoulder bolts. That is the one upgrade I have not made because I am modeling an early version with rubber lined road wheels, now a new set is available for 140us but that is still alot of money. You will find this hull to be very strong and well made. The componet tray bolts to the inside of the hull,so install your hardware first, check your wiring and your done, also the motor leeds do not have to be very long.sax

I notice you have the fan on the RX 18 and smoker! I wondered how that was done
The nichrome wire in my panzer III smoker burned out but since its just one large electronic cigarette it won't be too hard to fix hopefully
