Tank Museums in U.S.A.

Post by Dogberry »

Hello,

I could do with some advice. In the near future I will be spending some time in the USA.

Bearing in mind I am particularly interested in German WW2 armour can anybody recommend any museums in the south and east of the USA. I will be based around North Florida, so a road trip to California not on.

I wanted to go to Aberdeen but from what I gather the collection has been broken up.

US Armour and Cavalry Collection at Fort Moore, assuming one of their open days lines up with your visit. They have the largest tank collection in the US and even have the Panther II prototype.

I would also recommend the American Heritage museum which have a good chunk of the ex-Littlefield collection including his restored Panther Ausf A.
