Wespe ammo carrier

Hello friends,

I’d like to introduce you to my latest project, a 1/16 Wespe ammo carrier. It was a Wespe chassis with the gun removed, used for supplying ammunition. I’m currently working on a 3D design of the Wespe with the gun, including all the details and an open casemate, but I'm still working on the gun’s recoil mechanism.

Chassis, casemate, suspension, wheels and fenders are filament printed (PETG), and details such tools, jack, bosch lamp and other small details are resin printed.

The mechanics and electronics are quite simple:

• Two 370 motors with gear transmission.

• 4 mm shafts with rigid flange coupling on the drive wheel.

• Bearings on all wheels.

• Suspension with leaf springs.

• Idler wheel with 8 adjustment positions.

• Dual way ESC.

• 6-channel receiver.

• TBS mini sound board, just start/stop and running sounds (pending replacement with the Dasmikro mini).

• Panzer I metal tracks (R Model from Aliexpress)

If you’ve seen the photos from the last meeting in Madrid, it made its debut at that event. I’ll upload some pictures of the construction later, although I don’t have many from the process.

Edmuardo, some years ago I was surprised when I learned that so many acrylic modeling paints were coming from Spain, for I had come to think that the wonderland of modeling was Poland, the Czech Republic, and thereabouts. Then I saw example from Australia and the UK. Now your work and the stunning photos you have put up here on RCTW demonstrate that Spain, is yet another world's modeling capitol!
