Recommendations For Smoke Units For Hooben T-55

Post by Martin2556 »

Hi Guy’s,
Hope you can help,
I’m looking for recommendations regarding smoke units for my Hooben T-55, both for engine exhaust & the main gun to use in conjunction with a Beier SFR-1-HL MFU board.
Thanks in advance Martin

Here is my test if Tarr smoker with Beier HL
phpBB [video]

it seems that you can connect a HL smoker (using two wires) but unfortunately I don't know how.

Thanks for the info Kaczor, great video, I like the way it’s proportional to the motor speed.

:D Hello "Kaczor" for an HL smoker, if there are two wires? the connection must be identical to the Tarr system? or am I saying something stupid? unless afterward the fan is independent and proportional to the speed of the tank? It's just a personal reflection...and I go to bed more educated
Otherwise, for our friend, I am attaching Rad's excellent analysis, on this type of card, perhaps it will help?

:'( Kaczor, I hadn't watched the video but it's great, well done, the fan is proportional to the acceleration, so the smoke ditto, well done.

:D OK, but the fact that he's a Hooben? it doesn't matter, what matters is the type of electronics

One thing that I don’t like about the smoke units I’ve used in the past is they all seemed to leak oil, in your experience is this still a problem?

I remove all the rubber gaskets and make my own by simply smearing it with ABRO sealant!
It leaks only if you turn it over towards the air inlet or outlet, well, you have to be clever to do that
I made two smoke installations for the ships Bismarck and Iowa, but high walls and liquid transfusion are unrealistic, I use regular Glycerin bought at a pharmacy. If you put some cotton wool in the compartment with liquid and dip the wick in it, which is wrapped around the filament, then in principle there should be no leakage...
