Removing the smoothness

The method I use is far cheaper and does give a similar effect but only really works on single colour tanks. I paint using a make up wedge. But this only really works with the Vallejo acrylic paints that are not thinned for airbrushes

That would take a very long time to paint 1:1 scale though

Nice job.

I wouldn't go by museum pieces when it comes to the texture of the casting. These are often tanks that have been rusting in the air for decades before they ended up in a museum.

100% true, but, if I add a super rare track to my collection like this, I want it to look like the others instead of brand new.

I already made a Tiger 1 Transportkette and although I like what I did to it, it still looks 'off' because it's too perfect.
