Re: The tiger arrived!!
ohh yes just a quick question unlike the Panzer it only came with 4 bits and the guy to sit in the turret which is great
the problem is in the book it doesn't seem to say where those 4 bits go! Theres 2 smaller bits and 2 large bits.

Re: The tiger arrived!!
the two small bits will be the smoke launchers, they fit on the side of the turret. The large bits will be the mud flaps they clip on the back at either side

Thanks mate! I was driving it round the garden and the sprocket fell off today! The screw is rattling around inside the sprocket, I am on the outside of the sprocket trying to figure out how to get the 2 halves apart to rescue the screw!! How is it done? Metal parts all round I think is needed!

Re: The tiger arrived!!
prise the 'hub cap' off and you should have access to the drive sprocket screw
Re: The tiger arrived!!
Tiger-1,asiatam lower hull,3:1gearbox,gruapner speed400,12tooth pinion gear, metal tracks, drive and idler wheels, will drive anywhere, but still there's always something to add.But the Tiger-1 is the bad boy and you just want to make it badder. Then the paint work, from what you have described you have the latest version which is good, should be Rx-18 if mantel and pistol port are correct,it is smoke and sound? One thing if you purchase the asiatan lower ask if it has the new torsion rods, the first ones are to stiff and the tank set to high, there is a post about the problem's but changing the rods is a major job.best of luck with your TIGER,your in good company here many Tiger builds.Sax

Re: The tiger arrived!!
Thanks guys!! The tank is repaired
Carefully pulled off the hub cap and there was my screw, bearing and rubber bit just waiting to be screwed back in! Yea I noticed that the guys selling the hull had the rods and I did wonder why the Panzer III didn't have separate rods now I know
The Tiger still makes horrible plastic noises when turning on rough stuff but that seems to be the plastic tracks jumping around on the equally plastic idlers so that's not worrying me right now
I also keep bumping the gun barrel into things, the Panzer III has a shorter one so was never a problem! I can see a metal one not too far into the future!!!!
Once this tiger has been upgraded I am going to enjoy it even more than the Panzer I think, not only will I have a little place to put the switches but the battery will fit proper unlike the Panzer metal hull.
If I get hold of the metal hull with wheels when Welsh Dragon gets some, is there any issues fitting gearboxes like there is with Panzer III?

Re: The tiger arrived!!
Running my Tiger with the asiatam metal hull plus all metal wheels and tracks plus 3/1 gear boxes, the only problem i found on assembly was the need to drill two extra holes into the hull mounting plate to match up with two of the holes on the gearbox.
Photo instructions not brill but fairly straightforward. Also if fitting 3/1 boxes polarity needed to be reversed to get motors running the right way.
I have enjoyed making this Tiger up though at times it has nearly been binned!

Re: The tiger arrived!!
haha that is exactly what I was going to do to the Panzer, bin the damn thing hehe! It worked out in the end tho
Hope I have much more luck with my Tiger, Will there be any troubles popping Heng Long metal gearboxes in or do the holes need to be moved for those too?
