Speaking of poor decision making !
As this version I will call a Mid has Zimmerit in the Casemate it needs it on the lower hull too.
No Atak here so it out with the hot screwdriver again .
Not that it’s going to be very prominent but it’s there!

OK, doing that would drive me nuts...lol Tell me you at least modified a screw driver tip to fit in a soldering iron?

Going against my rough instinct the front guards are on.
Carefully sliced the very front sections off and dressed to be thin looking.
I also filed the hinges to remove the bits that would have been affected by the damage.
Held in boiling water for long enough to soften the resin then distressed with pliers gently.
I’m starting to love this thing !

You should sell that slogan to the hair shampoo industry!
Anutha stunna in the making! Great zimmerit work and that muffler is crazy. Your builds always cover all the bases, right down to the thinned fender edges.
Question: Did your kids ever figure out where all of their Lego was disappearing to?
Mike.

Cheers Mr Coleman, I try !
That muffler is a hell of an accessory for sure. Ive never seen one before. Can only assume its out of production and for my mate to release it, it must be not perfect.
But its sure good enough for me !
Thinning fender/mudguard edges are a thing for me. I just cant cope with fat-edged sheet

The work to thin is worth it for the look.
As for Lego.............the little monsters owe me for years of the %^$%#$ getting under the soft parts of my feet, in the dark like Ninja's attacking, to leave scarring & hatred

The next stage is a bit daunting.
I reckon I have the way forward on the bulk of the remaining exterior features, even the concrete, but next is roof hatch hinges.
I know these need to be made in ladder style sections in order to clear the overhang of the roof armour in each position, and thats going to be testing
But like the Mother in Law turning up for Xmas (or any other time to be honest
) testing your urge to give up & be somewhere else doing something else (yep thats my reaction
) that urge passes given a suitable intake of Tennessee's finest recipe of tolerance enhancing anesthetic & medicinal elixir !!
So with that in mind I'm off to top up with a jar of the best thing out of Tennessee since Megan Fox, and start on these hinges..............

Thanks Mr Ram, it certainly has those aspects to it Im afraid!

For me its more about logistics & economics...........the flash glue on stuff isn't stocked here so it has to come from overseas, thats the logistics bit.....that kicks in the economics bit- exchange rate, postage etc

Hey besides that if I waste funds on flash zimmerit I have none left for cocaine & hookers

Today has been hatch hinge day
All of it.
Getting the right look, and the right arc of travel, and the right level of compression when the hatch is closed did my head in..............
No wonder I drink(heavily)
When open, the main hatch is a bit loose, but I can sort that. Plus its going to have an as yet unidentified figure in it so he can also help hold it in place while in motion.
Still to add periscope and handle to them but the function is good.
Next up is the round hatch hinge.
