I agree. I will tone it down. This a “what if” scenario. All I know from what I have read they got as far as painting the unit numbers on the tank, before it was removed by the high heidyins to England. So if it had been allowed to be used, who knows what it might have looked like?

I wouldn't tone it down too much to where it blends into the rest of the tank, since the Tiger already had it's "patina" before it was captured and freshly painted with new unit numbers and markings.

Just enough to knock the brightness off. As though it has been driven from the maintenance depot to the Leaguer or seen a little action.

I love those markings and toning them down is so easy and cheap just with some very light application of pastels. Just buy a Tamiya weathering kit

Starting to dislike this beast. The Taigen control is either “won’t turn, or is flat out spin turn”, hard to hold back going down hill, stupid gun elevation, and worst of all, it detracks with the regularity of the Challenger, drive sprockets and idlers come adrift as well. Oh well. Definitely thinking about putting a Heng Long TK7.1 in it.

Ian did you do anything to the stock tracks? They're nice and black, were they matte black out of the box?

The tracks are black out of the box, so just left them as they are. They need a couple of good runs across the golfie at the back us, to weather them properly.

I have not given changing out to a TK7.1 a thought yet. I am not really enjoying my modelling at the moment. Too much other stuff going on. You may be blazing a trail on your own, and helping me.

Managed to bend an axel on the Tiger. It hit the base of the garage at half speed. Tried to steer around it, but due to the all or nothing nature of the Taigen controls it did not respond as quickly as I expected. It can wait for repairs, until I can be bothered with it.
