Deutsche Industrienorm is the accepted modern short-form version of that mouthfull these days (24 years and counting, working for an Austrian Engineering Consultancy here ;) )

Bolts are a minefield. Din933 only specifies geometry and general material grade. Surface coating consistancy, cleanlines of the interfacing parts and torque control all have a massive influence on whether you over or under tighten a bolted joint.
So like SoaG said, don't be tempted to visit the local DIY store for fasteners to fix your car, they won't work the same as the original bolts...

Don't really care if it the old standard or not. My point was it can be hard to search for hex head bolts. The issue is when you search on hex bolts, you get countersunk, socket head, and cap head hex fasteners. Using the search term DIN933 has yielded direct search results to external hex bolts. All of the other facts are interesting, but not helpful in finding the right fasteners. Here in the US, metric is harder to find as we have both standard and metric in stores. As far as specific fasteners go, most US stores carry the same middle of road common ones. It's the smaller or longer uncommon ones that are hard to find. Therefore, if those in the US search on DIN933, you will most likely find what you are looking for.

According to the manual from Coolbank, one of the switches on the remote is for a winch (in and out). Has anybody figured out what port that is on the receiver/board? I have a cunning plan with a small motor with lots of reduction and a crew member...

:{ OK: I give up! :eh: I prefer to know where I'm headed, rather than just push-pull-tug-bash away. There are two tiny screws at the rear of the hull. But how does one get the Coolbank Stuart open? (Uh-oh: please, no, not screws buried by the tank tracks. :-< )

(I did not want to start a new thread for just this simple question.)
