One hell of a predicament!!!!
Hi folks. Im sure ive raised this question before, but it now has a greater sense or urgencey. My mother has taken quite an interest in my new hobby, and with the sale of her house , she's offered to buy me a tank for X-mas. She asked which one and i told her about both Heng long and Tamiya. She's then gone on and said she would get me a Tamiya of my choice as there's soo much more to do on them and there for better value for money and more enjoyment. Now, heres the predicament...... Do I take her up on her offer of a Tamiya, and rob her of several hundred pounds, or do I get a heng long with lots of up grades? I know it might be a no brainer for alot of you, but my consience keeps getting in the way. She does her X-mas shopping at the start of November, so ive not got long :-[

well, scene as its a question .. i'd say tamiya,
simple because, a HL with lots of upgrades can cost nearly as much as a Tamiya, and yet still lack the detail, reliability and sounds of a tamiya.
just my opinion really, but you do what you feel your conscience will lay low for ...
cheers,
Matt

As 1 Tam = 4 Heng Longs (at leasat it does in the US), I'd take the money for the Tam and buy 4 Heng Longs

Tamiya, it has superior electrics and a better re-sale value than HL
