Hello!
I am a beginner. I am particularly interested in the Tiger tank and am also trying to make Tiger 131. Hope to communicate with everyone and learn skills.

Welcome Maqqery. We all started somewhere. Haynes produced a book on the 131: https://tankmuseumshop.org/products/hay ... hop-manual A terrific book giving the history, capture, testing and restoration of that Tiger I.

Have you picked out a tank yet? Here is our build thread section for the Tiger I: viewforum.php?f=134 (if you haven't discovered it yet) it may help in deciding which one to choose. As I recall there are a few builds of the 131 in there as well.

Maqqery hi, Welcome to the Forum
The great thing about starting with a Tiger 1 is the amount of interior space there is for the beginner so that inexperienced fingers do not rip out cables etc,
The combination of Heng Long abs body and turret with the metal Taigen hull gives you the best of both worlds and with more parts and upgrades available for the Tiger 1 than for any other Tank you have a lot going for you.
Do you have your tank yet? If not a starting point might be----

Hello and welcome among us, ah e Tiger I ... attached brief history
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger_131
This vehicle was captured by the British 48th Royal Armored Regiment in Tunisia on April 21, 1943. It was later repaired and sent to the United Kingdom the same year. The British carried out a thorough examination of the tank before making it an exhibit at the Bovington Tank Museum in 1951.

Forgebear is an excellent choice, most of us on this forum have ordered from Dave all over the globe. Give us an idea in what part of the world you are in and we may be able to point other sources out as well.

No Eric, For starters I would never have a pop at SOAG (My Hero) and you are far to all knowing, I was talking about someone much closer to home.

Hello, Maqqery! The Tiger is, indeed, a popular starter, with ooh goo gobs of great possibilities besides fun right out of the box. There's some great advice above. Oh, and don't worry about Meter rat. He's a friendly Scot who helped me discover Single Malt Scotch, but who prefers MBTs (Main Battle Tanks). :P
