Pantiger re-build / correction into a Ausf . A

Hi Steen,
Thanks mate . Im not sure if it was a good idea . Initialy I was just tarting it up to be a battelfield wreck . Ive removed all the internals . But if it developes ok I might re fit them ? I was going to get the new HL Panther G but it seemed a long way of  :-[ but since Ive started this it apears its closer to being on the market  :-\ But Im not keen on the late G model so if I did I would turn it back to the early G . The alterations on the HL Pantiger to correct it are numerous . I have been looking at Gras build for inspiration. Even when I have finished it wont be 100% correct but a lot better than the Pantiger .

Ive decided now to keep this an Ausf.A model . The Pantiger seems to be a miss match between the D , A and G . It has from what Ive noticed : Ausf. D/A engine grills , Ausf.A / early G cupola , Ausf. G sides but incorrect as ment to be a lip that runs the length of the tank and joins the front mud flap, Ausf. A/D exhausts etc . Ive done some more today added the ball mg mount worked on one side . Will do some more tom. and get some picts up.

Managed to get some more done today inbetween shopping and other stuff . Finished the side structours now . Got a little more to do to the rear panel. Once this is done Im going to work on the deck details opening front hatches , fit drivers oppening vission port etc But its getting there slowly  ::).

Had a play with the rear bins . I have reduced the length of these as the stock ones are way to big . I'm also thinking of adding hinged lids but haven't decided if its practicable yet. I have also fitted the lift handles to the engine compartment door and inserted wire mesh to the rear hole ( not sure what it is ). I know the back looks rougth but it will be coated with zimmerit.

Thanks mate will do I have done more just not got photos up yet . Ive re made the two re paniors , correceted the width . More photos to come .

I have re fitted the rear storage bins . The width has been reduced to make them look more accurate . I have left the tops of as I might fit opening lids I havent decided yet.

Ive altered the rear storage bins today , god I'm fussy  ::) The bottoms now sit flush with the bottom of the wedge side as they should and also added the top mounting brackets for the storage bins . Ive also added the hinged metal lids . You can see they are fitted externally to the bins . I'm not worried about this as it will be covered with zimmerit  ::) so they will be hidden. I may alter the X lines on the bins not sure tho as the zimmerit will cover it ? I might also thicken the lids again not sure yet ?

You should have taken the easy route and scratch built it! Wow, that's a lot of work you have put in there.

Thanks for your comments . I think it might of been easyer to  :-\ . I was only tarting it up to be a wreck . But I sort of got carried away  ::)
