I try not to be prudish or old-fashioned, but I do think an old guy like me walking into a fabric store with such a request might raise a few eyebrows and chuckles.Nonetheless, the material looks great for the purpose!

1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!

I'm a happy man.

Well done, Son of a gun-ner and Chris Preston. The resourcefulness you show is admirable.

Re: 16th scale hexagonal chicken wire mesh screen......
'Afternoon All,
I have acquired the recommended "Tutu Mesh Tulle Fancy Fairy Bridal Petticoat Material" (Many Thanks for the suggestion, Gents), but have a couple of more questions for you:
1. Any ideas on how the mesh was secured to the turret, and -
2. Did it completely cover the turret, or would it just be "wrapped" around the sides, leaving the top clear?
I'd post the photo if I could, but I don't have it stored "online(?)".
Cheers,
Chris Preston

Re: 16th scale hexagonal chicken wire mesh screen......
Id go with................
How is it an easy job to secure to the turret on a real tank?
Lifting hooks, track hangers, appendages etc etc anything that works to hold the stuff on.
Now, translate that into the scale and your model & do the same thing.
The top of the turret Id say would be clear of netting but not of foliage. The foliage would be stuck into the netting and arranged so as not to disrupt the view from any optical devices.
Idea of tank camo is to reduce or disrupt the silhouette of the machine , not make it invisible to aircraft, thats what foliage concealment is for !
