JohnWhyte and SCHWEREPANZER: are you referring to the relatively new Vallejo Acrylic-Polyurethane primer in the 60 ml. bottles? I have started using those and I find them far less expensive and just fine as a base coat. I have used them over red, gray, white, and black enamel primers and have even sprayed them over a metal-etching primer, all quite satisfactory. Is that your experience?
