Hi all, im Jonny (Northern Ireland) just starting to get interested in 1/16 scale RC tanking and im welcome to any advice for my first tank!
Im thinking id like to start with something mid range or top range bargain if one comes up preferably as much metal as possible, are there any brands to stay away from?
Will my current 2.4GHZ transmitter (Radiomaster TX16S) work for RC tanks?
Im concidering Torro, Tamiya, Mato, Taigen WW2 German for now Panther G or Tiger 2
Any advice is welcome thanks for reading!

Most of the RTR tanks come with a "remote". The Tamiya requires one. Welcome aboard Jonny.

Unless you change to Elmod, Beir, Ibu 3, etc., please consult the electronic post of this forum

Thanks for the Help Jofaur!Jofaur86 wrote:Hello and welcome to this forum, for your radio, everything depends on the type of electronic board fitted to your tank? for Tamiya no worries, a simple 4 channel radio is suitable, for another type depending on the type of decks? most often there are specific dedicated radios, so a standard radio will not work

Jonny Hi welcome to the Forum
Don't dismiss Heng Long the electronics on the recent releases are superior
to Taigen/Torro (same company) Haya is a British Company (Welsh actually) And Tongde, the latter 2 are mainly post WW2 but good quality and affordable
,
