Ecam is correct. They are grousers. They bolt onto the tracks to add traction in mud or snow.

I wasn't sure what they was only that they was part of the tracks so thanks

They use the hollow sides of the M5 track pins to insert in the ends:

One note - Stuart was equipped with 34 grousers in total (mounted on every 4th track) so there weren't probably enough of them to cover the hull like this ;)

Yeah but you don't know how many was either borrowed or acquired from other tanks bit like the extra wheels and tracks used as extra protection

As I suspected, the problem is not the transmission but the electronics. I connected the Beier to the test and immediately the model runs slower ;)

Good to know. Did you sand the Chevrons down or just run the hell out of it on concrete? :)

Nah, it's just optical illusion. But when they are worn off, I will glue on rubber pads ;)
