Metal Panoramic Sight Motor?!

Hey, does anyone have any experience with this gadget? I actually have the DKLMRC version of this installed on my Abrams, but I was ordering some stuff and thought I’d get this and see what it was about.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how this is supposed to work. I’m guessing it mounts to the inside of the roof of the turret, then somehow there a gear that attaches to the underside of the CITV, and then there’s an extra bearing that does???

Just curious if anyone else has tried to figure this one out.
