Coolbank M5A1 stuart!

Post by Model Builder 4 »

Behold the legend of the coolbank M5A1 stuart is true and I have one of the mythical creatures in my possession :D
Seven days delivered from China to the UK, now that is impressive :O
I've only just received it so just going through the functions but first impressions are very good ( believe me we've paid a lot more and gotten a lot less for what these cost ).
The last pic shows it with the hull of my classy hobby stuart kit and to be honest size wise it's comparable, when time permits I'm going to take a look to see if it's worth cannibalising the static kit for detailing the coolbank model, very happy with it overall though Image

Cool. Nice to see it's proper 1/16. I wonder what's inside :)

I'd say it's pretty much in scale for 1/16 Kaczor, the functions are, lights on/off with switch, smoker on/off with button, separate buttons on the back for main cannon fire and mg fire, it has 2 speed modes, 360⁰ turret rotation, the main cannon has recoil and elevation but its not proportional though, it moves up /down with the stick but returns to centre when let go. The only thing that I can't find at the moment is a volume control as it's pretty quiet but if that's the only gripe I'm still very happy with it :D

Now that's what I call an unboxing! I look forward as you do a comparison with the Classy Hobby kit.

Indeed it does Herman.
It came with 2 batteries and a usb style charger, 3 accessories sprues including the hedge cutter, sticker sheet ( not decals ) it also has an optional 4AA battery holder which can be used in the controller or tank if the 2 rechargeable one's run out, hope this info helps

Is that a speaker grille in the transmitter? Still, nice looking TX, almost like they have upcoming plans...

Ooooh, another thing I just noticed, it has rubber tyres on the roadwheels, it has full suspension including on the rear idler wheel and it even looks as if the idler wheel is adjustable, nice to see features like this can be workable and on a budget model, coolbank are certainly trying
