I didn't film much as the batteries ran out on my crappy camera...but this was what I came up with.  ;D

1/16 IRAD at Blunsdon War Weekend

From their website...

"The Wartime Weekend, on Saturday and Sunday 12th and 13th September, was the busiest in the Railway's history. Thousands of visitors arrived over the weekend to see the largest collection of exhibits, stalls and live demonstrations the event has ever attracted.

Exhibits included vehicles and weaponry, plus those from groups commemorating a wide range of WWII fighting units and others recalling the Women's Land Army, and other organisations. There was a separate display of military models. Bands perfomed on both afternoons - the Cheltenham Silver Band on Saturday and the Mid West Band on Sunday. On both days there were also live demonstrations, including a battle between German and Allied troops, and bomb disposal demonstrations.

The Railway would like to thank all involved - the visitors, the re-enactors - including all those who arrived in 1940s costume - the exhibitors, the organising committee and the landowner who made ground available for the event - for contributing to such an enjoyable success."

Hi Rob,

not sure whether your efforts would put Steven Spielberg out of business or not......only kidding it was teriffic to see some of the models working at ground level, I wish that I had thought to do it.

The bridge looked great as well.....'triffic fotos from everyone. I have some as well, trouble is I set my camera on high definition and my pc works Vista and so there is no inbuilt "resize" software to enable me to post them. I can e-mail them if anyone wants more fotos of the WW2 vehicles.

I am sad that I couldn't be there to get my ugly mug in the foto with you lot......on the other hand some of the characters look a bit suspect dont they..... ::)

Glad everyone had a good time and got home safely.....Mike
