Some crew have turned up today. Now for my favourite task. Painting them.

Managed to paint the crew today. My least favourite thing to do. Started with matt black from automotive paint. Then sprayed over from above with white, again from car rattle cans.

Then thin washes of Olive Khaki for the uniform, and khaki, mixed with buff for the caps.

Skin was painted with thin washes of Citadel, Bestigor flesh, Wraithbone, and Tamiya Flat Flesh. Eyes are white, with the tiniest hint of grey, with the iris put in with a sharpened cocktail stick. Badges were dry brushed, and pin washes were applied. Finally a dry brush with khaki lightened with grey.

Just waiting on the stencils to arrive and I can finally finish. I was hopping to finish it on the 28 March on my birthday,, as I was my birthday present from my wife, but since Friday we have had a house full of friends and children, to help me celebrate my 60th.

Nice work on the figures. Happy Birthday (I keep telling myself it's just a number...). In those figure pictures before you painted the flesh, they looked like military zombies or ghouls with the grey flesh.

My stencils arrived today. Thank you Mr Rad. They are awesome. Tonight I painted the exhaust shrouds and some of the British markings. Of course I messed one up. Lucky extra are included for practice, or cock ups. Tomorrow will be rusting the exhaust.

Crazy tankers. Always time for a cuppa!

They will be a nice detail on the Tiger, indeed!
