I love both camouflage schemes! Plus the paint mask in the muzzle of your new one reminds me of Pingu. And who doesn't love Pingu!

A thing of beauty. I thought I'd seen the early stages of this when you mentioned it to me; turns out I had. You've made a huge amount of progress here. The bad guys do get all the cool equipment....

I showed this to the family & they almost pissed themselves at the similarity

Its a straw bunged over the Taigen flash unit end that I didnt want to ruin during the painting process.
Fantastic observation & Im glad you saw it as I had missed it

Re: TAIGEN PZ IV 4TH BATTLE OF KHARKOV 14 AUGUST 1943
Today has been a build up to F1 and getting a bit done on this elusive PzIV resurgence.
I set the keeper hangers for all the track links in place.
The turret roof being the metal Taigen material bonded better than the front plate but they will both do the job.
The picture of course does not show the way these heavy and unwieldy ersatz armour sections were retained.
Going with plausibility, gravity would take relative care of the turret roof stuff. Simple Z shaped brass flats superglue gelled to the base metal and shes gooderer.
The front plate I went with 'bent track pins ' theory and used bent paper clips to provide hangers similar to those used on Panther turrets to secure the vertical track links in place on the upper plate.
Near enough.

Once I do chipping and scraping I think I will spray the wash rather than my usual method.
There’s way too many sticky outey bits on this thing to enable wiping off.
I’ve never sprayed wash before, anyone got any tips ?

Which product are you using to do the rust effect on the track pins? Or which method, alternatively? I like that look! I've been experimenting with several recently. Have found I rather like the AK Interactive acrylics. Gives a realistic looking rust once you figure out the sort of look you're going for. Like the MiG pigments, too, but they can be a pain to work with in the smaller scales I'm usually working with.

Some light scratches & scrapes, ready to seal shortly, then a light wash.
