News from Welsh Dragon Models September 2009

Post by welshdragon »

With over 750 products in our shop we now have one of the biggest selections of 1/16 scale upgrade parts and accessories you will find anywhere.  A lot of new products have been added recently, with more on the way.  Here is a sample -

Tank Modellbau

We are the authorized UK dealer for this high quality range of German made parts.  KV1 parts are now available, including an exquisitely detailed mg with led at £13.25

We have all the Tank Modellbau range listed, most items are in stock but as these are manufactured in limited quantities a few items are still being made and should be with us in around a week.

Profiline

This is a new range of  resin conversion kits from the Czech Republic, with limited production runs.  Profiline already produce superb injection moulded military and aircraft kits in 1/72 scale, their new 1/16 scale kits promise to be every bit as good.  The first kit in the range is the Brummbar.  They will be with us soon, RRP is 125 euros but our price should work out less than this (photo below).

Imperial Modellbau

A lot of new products from this prolific manufacturer, including a Tobruk bunker with Panzer 1 turret at £29.99

This would make a nice display piece, or could be used to house the IMPACT miniACT AO1 for IR battling.

IMPACT

New stock will be arriving soon, including King Tiger Late and KV1 tracks, both of which have been out of stock for a while.

Asiatam

We have a number of the Panzer III metal hulls available, these are a huge improvement on the Heng Long hulls with correctly offset suspension arms, price £85.00.

We also sell these with pre-fitted wheels, price £135.00, currently out of stock but new stock will be arriving soon.

Asiatam have at long last announced their new all metal road wheels for the Tiger 1, these are only suitable for the Asiatam metal chassis.  We should have these in stock very soon (photo below).

Aber

We have the new 2 metre German antenna (£5.99) and the new King Tiger photo-etched sets, all lovely crafted items as is normal from this manufacturer.

This is only a taster of the new products, we have lots more interesting new items in the shop.

I wonder if the asiatam tires would fit Tamiya road wheels? Steve, do you know if the asiatam wheels have bearings in them?
Cheers,

Hi Rik,

I've only seen photos of them so far but they do have bearings, I'm not sure about compatibility with Tamiya wheels.  According to Asiatam these wheel sets are only suitable for the Asiatam metal hulls.

Will the Tiger 1 metal hulls with wheels be making a comeback soon at Welsh Dragon?  Me Panzer III metal hull is completed but next time I think I will be better off with the wheels attached for the Tiger  ;D

Will make a nice Christmas present :) Talking of present, I must stop buying tank stuff and save for my holiday in November  :o ;D ;D
