Hi, my name Dave Priddy and I live in Texas. I am 63 years old and have been a die-hard hobbyist for a long time. RC tanks are a little new to me but, I'm up to the challenge and have a lot of questions. I'm currently in the market for a Heng Long 1/16 M1A2 Abrams tank, the professional version. I look forward to communicating with all of you.
Sincerely,
Dave Priddy

Welcome again Dave, you did an introduction back in October; viewtopic.php?p=343924#p343924. There are a few that skip this step, so thank you for being thorough.

Re: Introducing my self
Hello again! As Ecam noted, we have a custom of introductions here on RCTW, so you are doubly welcome!
If you are after an Abrams, I do agree with your choice to shop for the Abrams with metal upgrades, and the newer HengLong electronics are great for modern tanks although I don't know if HengLong has included the turbine engine sound. (Others should jump in here.)
Two reasonably good North American sources I know for the HengLong Abrams would be:
Toucan Hobby at https://www.toucanhobby.com/
MotionRC at https://www.motionrc.com/

Re: Introducing my self
Hi Dave welcome back to the Forum
Let us see if we can make more progress this time,
I have an all option Heng Long Abrams and one day if I find the time I might even get to build it
I hope you are more successful,
Enjoy this place and keep us up to date with your progress.

Welcome, where at in Texas? I'm in Elgin just outside Austin. There is a battle scheduled this month up near Temple. I can't attend as my Mother will be in town that weekend from Washington State.
