I think that's the bottom end more or less done now. Apart from the tail skid.
I want to tidy up the inside and paint it white before fitting the r/c parts. The weather here at the moment is cold, wet and damp so I will move on to the turret next.
I have the choice of making either the 37mm gun or the Hotchkiss mg. I think the aperture in the front of the turret is the same for both.

I milled out the aperture in the turret for the gun mantlet on my milling machine. It coped surprisingly well for a small modelers machine considering it was chewing though 8mm thick cast iron.

Still more fantastic work Mike! I have always enjoyed machining cast iron (engines mostly) I loved the cast dust as opposed to shavings.

With each of your posts, I am having more trouble differentiating between your masterpiece and the real one. Two questions:
I think I see rifling in the barrel! Is that right?
The painted one looks to be in someone's suburban garage. Am I right?

The "rifling " in the barrel is a bit of a half-arsed attempt. I stuck a small file down it and managed to file some small grooves just at the end.
