Metal Suspension Arms for TAMIYA Leopard 2A6
Metal Suspension Arms for TAMIYA Leopard 2A6
I am going to fit a full set of ball bearings to my Tamiya Leopard 2A6 to try to take up some of the "slop" that I think may be the cause of some of the broken suspension arms that I have suffered recently.
What I would also like to do is to find a source of replacement metal suspension arms to replace the original plastic kit parts. I am told that they do exist, but I have not been able to find any yet.
If anyone can provide a link to anywhere that sells them I would be very pleased to buy a set, but if anyone has any experience of actually fitting and using metal arms on their Tamiya Leopard 2A6 I would like to know if they fit OK without any modifications, and most importantly - do they work OK?

Hi,
KingKong RC offers some on ebay:

but I recommend the ones from AFV

KingKong RC stuff is sketchy. Never know if it will fit or not from what I've seen from others posting about it.

Thank you Guido,
I have just tried to oder a set of these metal suspension arms and I have put them in my basket, but I cannot speak German so I seem to be stuck at this stage and can make no more progress to pay for them.
I have tried to send them a message to explain this, but again I am not sure if it has been sent (all instructions are in German) and I don't know if they will be able to read my English either!
I hope to be able to resolve this problem and pay for them as these metal arms look good and should hopefully be a big upgrade to the reliability of the tank
Bob.

Hi Bob.
On my phone I have auto translate.
Therefore I will post a few screenshots of the process.
You are able to pay via bank transfer or PayPal, but they charge an extra 2.95% for using PayPal.

Go to basket.
See this. Top choice is your country, UK is second to bottom on the drop down.
Bottom choice is either bank transfer or PayPal. First drop down for country choice. Second drop down for payment method choice. After you've clicked on your chosen payment method, click bottom right. Zur Kasse (to checkout)
