I only have one tank a Challenger II (I'm a brit[well Scottish], gota fly the flag) son actually bought the tank for me I had invisaged him getting the version with metal everything but (luckily as it turned out got me the basic version which I am upgrading. No doubt I will run into lots of roadblocks and will come here panickng "oh no what should I do with... ".
I shall try to be helpfull to others but realistiacally I only know two things about R/C tanks , nowt and bugger all.

Welcome: we certainly have lots of Scots here on RCTW. Oh, you are fortunate.I tried to help with your question about drifting out track pins, but it may be that I had nothing new to offer. There are many one here who have build, rebuilt, loved and cursed the HengLong Challenger II, especially, but certainly not exclusively those from the UK. More greetings and rescues should be along soon.
(Ahem, I'm from Wisconsin, US, but on a recent trip another regular RCTW Scot told me where to try Single Malt Whiskey. Have you ever been to Oban?)

I think that is whisky without the “e”. But I just drink cheap American whiskey. But Herr Doc has lots of sage advice. Welcome aboard from Illinois! If I had a bucket of water from the River Spey I would try to make true whisky in my tiny home still.

Yes, I regularly get the ferry from there to the isle of Mull. Eldest son lives there (he is a mechanic in the 'harbour garage in Tobermory [Tobrrmory is so picturesque that it is used for a children's TV programme, Balamory])

Hello and welcome from the West Coast of Scotland. The Cowel peninsula to be precise. If the Calmac ferries are as reliable to Mull as the are to Dunoon, you can’t travel that often. Ours is off more than on.
Your son either has a sense of humour, or dislikes you if he has bought you a Challenger. Welcome to a world of pain, misery, exasperation, some more misery, and finally expense.

There's a Tobermory here too, and undoubtedly named after your Tobermory. They don't have the colourful houses of yours, but it has crystal clear waters for diving on wrecks and the aptly named Flower Pot Island.
