Panzer III, trying to be creative

Post by Bcorson »

Took a couple of photos in the snow. I know the fire extinguisher should be grey but I used artistic license 😁. Also I noticed I haven't toned down the spare wheels, shiny plastic.

What is that " jewelry box " on the port side? My tauchpanzer 3 has one also. Weird.

Lol, everyone needs a place to keep their bling. I think I'll repaint it at some point to a wooden box.

The fire extinguisher came in 2 colours Green or desert sand and the "Jewelry box" is a Jack block.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

It's a solid wooden jacking block. It would be placed on the ground under the jack so that it didn't sink into the ground under the weight of the vehicle. Just about every German tank had one.

Went online and found photos of the fire extinguisher and tried to match the color as best I could, same for the jacking block. I think it looks much better. Thanks for everyone's help!
