instead of waiting for the HL Sherman, I bought a ...

Post by Steenv »

hey all

Well, I changed direction  :D - almost.

Waiting for the HL Sherman, and still waiting, I by stumbled over a local rc truck guy that wanted to sell his Tamiya Sherman incl all electronics.
I had to pay 200 euro ,which is a great price for this panzer.

It is just missing the 2 hatches, and if any of you have a spare set I can buy, I would be glad.

Beside that, it just needs some outside modelling to be ready to enter the battlefield  8)

cheers

well, I have still saved roughly 150 euro  ;D which I think is rather OK compared to that price.

Also saved me a lot of building time, which I dont have at the moment.

Delivery charge to denmark is higher than to the UK, so please count in the shipping cost when you compare  :D

Steenv, you did very well on that tank. You might want to make it a little neater inside though. I looked in my parts bin, but I don't have the hatches, sorry.

Agree on the interior. Also very good idea with the antenna inside the sherman instead of the mounting on the rear side on mine. Have to change that also

Hi If it runs a bit fast change the motors for speed 400 7,2v they are alot slower about 6,000 rpm slower 6v spin at 22,000 7,2 v 16,000. it will also extend the battery life.
