Stunning photo's, I have been to many of those places and always stand there wondering what it was like back then. These photo's are truly amazing.

Nice photo spread. I was just there for the 65th Aniversary Ceremonies. The last photo is on one of the shore guns just west of the Omaha Beach Monument. It is still very much intact. On Sunday the 8th they had a very nice ceremony in the town center of Carentan (as shown with the statue). There were only three US vet there and hundreds of reenactors. It was all very moving. They treated the US Vets like royalty and they sat for over a hour to sign autographs, answer questions and tell stories.
