Hmmmmm, air mattress repair rubber squares you get at camping stores--flat and scale thinness? Thin eva foam sheets? The heavier thickness nitrile chemical resistant gloves?
Dare you to go into the local hardware store and say, "So I'm looking for something in a heavy duty rubber..."
Thank you thank you, I'm here all week!

You know, the initial Enigma armor was shown at an arms show in 1986 on a T-62 or Type 69 Hull. If only they had done it on a 72. Easy out.
"I have seen the first of the new tanks today. They are beautiful."

Amazon has sheet silicone rubber. I picked some up for making rubber mud flaps and rubber skirts on my tanks. This stuff was pretty much the perfect thickness and rigidity for that purpose.

Barry C purchased some thinner latex rubber sheet off cuts for his Abrahams skirts from some kinky online rubber clothing outfitters, gawd knows where he got that idea from

This is going swimmingly Mr Bix

Back at home & back at the bench.
Fighting some retarded travel bug that thinks its got the kahunas to live in me & fight its way through gallons of duty free Jack Daniels :lolno:
Im hurting, but I will win.

Today was work on the dazzler.
The WWW is a biiiiiiig pool of info, but in all of it, do ya think I could find any specs or dimensions for an early 90's, Chinese made, Iraqi used, I.R. , weapon defense system ??? :lolno:
Going by eye-ometer from real pictures , its a bit past the halfway of the commanders sight, and a bit short of halfway of the gunners sight :shifty:
Gives me 21mm long, 12mm(less the heat sink ribs) diameter, and roughly half the tube diameters height above the commanders sight.
All those dimensions are of course accurate like the Atomic Clock :shh:
Used some alloy tube (thats toob to you left side drivers !) and a bolt ring from a roadwheel hubcap, some styrene, and other bits yet to be decided.
The base mount is styrene although I was going to use brass. Glad I changed my mind as brass in this case would have been a B-arch to get in place.
I still need to make the rest of the base mountings out of angle, Welds all round of course. and set the upper base on top with some form of vibration dampers in between.

Not sure how, but I'll get er.

Yes mate , 3 pegs and a LOT of glue.
