That Sturmtiger on ebay is one I would be looking to get direct from IMEX in Florida
Taigen/IMEX.

I cannot answer most of your questions, because I am a beginner myself, and i am usually the one asking the questions.
There are model boat clubs in Derby, Nottingham, Grantham, which also has a tank club. Most of the larger towns and cities have boat clubs if they have a stretch of water that is suitable.
My T72 was my first tank and I love it. Though it has been neglected a bit. I find it simple, robust, and easy to work on, this gave me the confidence to tackle other models. It will be the next to go through Ian’s incompetence workshop.

I would have responded sooner had I not been away since the 16th having fun, but busier than a centipede at a toe-counting contest. Naturally, I have forgotten if you are in the UK or US, so I did the best I could to make comparisons. I see that the eBay seller for which you sent the URL has a relatively low, but perfect record, and if the Sturmtiger is as described, the U.S. dollars price is right--that's including the extraordinarily high shipping charge.
I checked Taigen here in the U.S. (https://www.taigentanks.com/collections ... _by=manual) and I see that they are out of the Sturmtiger. Those in the UK say that shipping from Germany is quite high.
I also checked German dealers, all of whom have all served me well, although shipping to the US is always a significant factor for me:

RCTank (https://www.rctank.de/STURMTIGER_2)
HengLong Tank Deutschland a.k.a. Licmas: (https://heng-long-panzer.de/de/advanced ... c_subcat=1)
Torro (https://www.torro-shop.de/index.php?qs= ... er&search=) has a selection, including some with smoking barrels and IR instead of BB.

Check 'em out, as you can also see what else is available.

Very kind of you, thank you Doc.
