I know PLA from a test spool isn't ideal for an RC tank, but I couldn't resist doing a couple of test parts from the RC 3D Tanks Merkava MK IV on ny new Ender-3 S1 Pro.
Been helping a friend with some crew for his Nashorn build
These guys seem to fit in just perfect and look the part aswell

I'll have to admit, I found this thread confusing and uninteresting. That is until I bought a 3D printer and in the last couple days started to use one. It did take two days to get through the whole thing but what a wealth of information! Thank you for creating this thread and to all the (alarmingly few) contributors.

Since Jee pointed to this thread, I will answer the question: What is the recommendation for a larger printer for 1/6th scale tanks?
For a large speedy printer, some like the Qidi XMax 3. I printed my 1/6th scale tank on my Bambu with a small build plate of 256x256x256, but it easier with a bigger print bed like the XMax 3. I just had to cut the files down to fit my print bed and glue them back together. Some like the Vorons, but they are not for the beginner as you have to build and program it yourself. The Kobra Max gets good reviews, but it's not a very fast printer and I don't have any experience with it. Faster, large printers are not cheap. My first printer was a Qidi brand and it was/is a decent printer. I've heard the XMax 3 is as fast as the Bambu printers, but I don't have any personal experience with the XMax 3 to verify that.
