Smoking Panther G

Post by MrChef »

Took The Panther G for it's first drive outside ever today. I'm very happy with how it performed. It's tracks are super grippy compared to the T34's. Lots of traction. I might be interested in different gearing or a higher torque motor for it some day.

I have no idea why but this guy pumps the most smoke out of all my tanks!

I like it, I may get a bigger Tank now as I have decent size yard at my new house.

I am setting up one of my 1/24 Tanks with plastic bb gun, remote view camera, to do some outside patrols against some pesky squirrels

I have a small forest in my yard and the Squirrels have made a huge next in one of the bigger trees and are making a big mess in my yard.

This is WAR! :-<

I can just see the videos coming! Operation Squirrel Sting! However, based on my 32 years' experience in a woodland surrounded home, I suggest you just sit back, relax, and watch the squirrels--forget it. You're lucky they are letting you stay at all. :P

Nice work on the stock Panther Mr Chef, and certainly well photographed.
If I may nit-pick one detail, perhaps find a way to colour in the inner row of roadwheels as you can see the plain metal.

This post never gained any traction on this board when I posted it up, I forgot about it.

Ha ha,well guess what guys, I actually made a decision yesterday to renovate this cat. I never liked the stock paint job anyway. So update project it is, inside out, new curtains, new paint, new shrubs. I picked up the paint I needed yesterday. I should be starting the teardown this weekend. And yes some glaring issues will be addressed. It's not nitpicking Bix I appreciate opinions, comments and advice.

Thanks for the support guys but say goodbye to stock old Smoky. As usual I'll share as I go. The only thing I'm looking for today will be driveshaft bearings at my local RC shop.

Thanks again,

Chef

We look forward to your renovation. To me, it looks good as it is. And until the ever observant Mr Bix had pointed out, I hadn’t noticed the unpainted wheels.

"I have no idea why but this guy pumps the most smoke out of all my tanks!" Is it a HengLong 7.0 or 7.1? I have found that the newest HengLong tank smokers really overdo it. Sometimes the tanks look like they are "cooked." Of course, do I like it? Heck yes!

If the squirrels around my place got hit by a plastic BB, they'd pick it up, run over to the tank and ram it back down the gun!
