Hello from the Mile High

Post by Goes2fast »

Hi, I recently bought my first tank, a Heng Long Abrams 7.0 version and I am presently working on my first mod. I'm doing the 360-degree turret conversion.

I'm retired and spent most of my life working in the transportation industry. I like muscle cars, hot rods, and travel. I was born and raised in Colorado, but have lived in several other states to keep food on the table and made it back to CO as soon as I could.

I have had a fascination with tanks since I was a little kid and found out when I was in my late 30s that my father which I never knew was in a tank crew in WWII.

I am hoping to gain a lot of knowledge here. 8)

Welcome sir!

You will find friendly, helpful folks here with knowledge to share.

There are several Abrams builds here to look over.

Welcome Goes2fast from another retiree who goes a bit more slowly and a bit more quickly. :D
Ask any question and let us know how the 360 degree turnaround goes. Then let us help you toward addiction and financial ruin as you buy/build/run more RC tanks. :haha:
You say that you "found out when [you were] I was in [your] late 30s that [your] father....was in a tank crew in WWII." Did you get to talk to him about his experiences?

Good evening Goes2fast.

Welcome to the group. You’ll find it to be populated by fantastic modelers, who are friendly and willing to share their opinions and knowledge.

I live in Southeastern Pennsylvania, but our youngest daughter lives in Black Hawk. Simply spectacular country out there. But, being 9,600 feet above sea level, it always takes me some time to adjust to the thin air to be able to enjoy the scenery.

Regards.
