Yes, that Jagdpanther nearly disappears. Even on models, camouflage can be most effective, as Mr. Chef demonstrates here.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Last week I was priming some parts for a static 1/16 M198 155mm Howitzer model. The parts on their sprues were cast in desert camouflage colored plastic. Since the weather was freaky warm, I took the primer outside. Holding two primed parts on sticks in my mouth, I started on a third in my gloved hand. It was a long, slender stick-like part. And I dropped it amid the dried straw from last year's woodland plants. What could I do but go inside, hang up the parts that were, unh, lip-bound, and go right back out to fetch the part I dropped?
RIGHT!: a long, slender, stick-like part in light tan dropped amid straw. I went from standing up, to kneeling, to crawling...
But
by gum! I found that part inside an hour's time.
