Those two MAIM figures would work: one as a crew member and one as his angry girlfriend, Stormy Al Numan. :haha:

been mucking around with little things......................hatch details :/
As I always do, overlooking details on a previous model and regretting things, then I go ahead & do those things to the current one & regret missing them even more :(
The inside of the hatches on these things are not just featureless.
I made some Padboi radiation shielding out of slices of foam camping mat material.
Handles from PzIII engine vent rivets & brass sprue, and rudimentary periscope blocks from styrene sprue left over from my Stug III Schurzen years ago !!
Should,coulda,woulda-didnt on my T90..............but to a degree the figures hide most of the hatch interior on that .
Without being 'Aber' quality details, what I have done does make an improvement.

Wow, man! You’ve really created a top shelf show stopper! Most impressive paint, weathering and attention to detail.

Carrying on from the tank build, and now in serch of crew and small arms to complete it, I acted on some hints about the 'technical' trucks, or Utes as we know them down here in Oz and NZ.
A cute little WPL Hilux that I will mate to a BIG Foff gun in the tray :D
A KPV-44 or Vladimirov, apparently the same main armament as the older BMP's and suchlike.
Of course the Hilux has virtually monster truck high-rise suspension which will need to be drastically reduced, and huge rims & tyres which also need to be bought back to reality :/
The supplier that has them normally has spare wheels that are a lot more realistic, but as is always the case-out of stock :problem:
Plan to paint the body white and smear mud/sand over it, with a mismatched door or two, dropped tailgate which the model does not have, the gun mount, ammo boxes and god knows what else !!
Plan is for this to be a fun accessory to the tank rather than a serious stand alone model....................... :shifty: :wtf:
Yeah-right :eh:

Awesome project Herman, especially being the big fan of T-72s that I am! Lots of really neat details and techniques, gonna have to wrap my head around some of these.

Really looking forward to seeing what you do with the technical, too. That KPV is a beast!

I Toyota Hilux with a DShK machine gun mounted in the bed is a common site in Afghanistan even for the now defunct Afghan Army. We had a diesel Hilux as a shop vehicle with a manual transmission and it was a hoot to drive over there.

Ah, you did go for the ubiquitous HiLux assault wagon! What hoot--and realistic, too. It is 1/16 scale, but those tires could only be... Oops, I'd better shut up. I will be interested to see the replacement tires and I think you will need to lower the suspension, right? And the fenders will look cut out?

That "Technical" is going to be a wet dream to chip and weather.

I'd love to see what you can do with a T72 model.
The ute will be a dag with the KPV in it, could use a 'Dushka' but they are nil-stock here as usual.
