Re: Tamiya Abrams 1/16 canon problem
As I noted in your introduction, I am not familiar with Tamiya tanks so much as many others. However, you wrote that "the tank does not move when the cannon is fired." Perhaps it will help if you can clarify just a bit. Do you mean that as soon as you fire the cannon, the tank stops and will not move again? Or do you mean that when you fire the cannon, there is no recoil action?
While it is likely you are way ahead of me on this, perhaps I can offer a simplistic suggestion. In my experience, when a tank quits running after the cannon is fired, it is because the battery is low. Sometimes a NiMH battery will seem fully charged when it really is not. I usually try a different battery.

Thank You for Your response
Well it is the recoil of the tank body that don't work anymore. It has nothing to do with low battery power.

Re: Tamiya Abrams 1/16 canon problem
I doubt I can help any more, as I am unfamiliar with the Tamiya electronics. But let me see if I can clarify some in hopes that others will know. If I understand correctly, the tank runs fine, both before and after the gun is fired. Rather, the recoil of the tank body (effected by a jerk of the tracks) does not work at all now. Did I get this correct? Can anyone familiar with the Tamiya electronics help?

The Tamiya-anados will know more, but as I understand, the hull on a Tamy does not recoil when the gun is fired, only the barrel.

You get a little barely there rock. I belive if it's set to light tank it's bigger, although I haven't tested this.HERMAN BIX wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 10:31 pm The Tamiya-anados will know more, but as I understand, the hull on a Tamy does not recoil when the gun is fired, only the barrel.

Hi professor. That is right. Everything works except the track jerk when fireing. Rgds JAM PS as sugested elsewhere.maybe it is only the barrel that recoils?
Re: Tamiya Abrams 1/16 canon problem
Hi again
After having run in the refurbished gear box everything about recoil and track jerk works fine.
Apprently the gear box ran too tight to begin with!!

"After having run in the refurbished gear box everything about recoil and track jerk works fine." That's good news, JAM! Yippie!
