Late Model Tiger 1 Metal Road Wheels Conversion Kit

Post by Burger_Patrol1 »

Howdy tankers. I purchased these road wheels awhile back and I forgot where I bought them from, hence no assembly directions.
I am in the process of converting a Tamiya Tiger 1 early version to a late model version. I just wanted to see if I could get some advice on what would be the best way to assemble these metal road wheels? The base of the wheel is made from aluminum and the detail caps that need to be attached are made from what seems to be a die cast of some sort. I was thinking of abrading the bonding surface of each lightly and using some JB Weld to assemble them.
Does anyone have any experience with these types of wheels or have a better idea on assembly?

Good morning,

These parts are not from HennTEC, it's just a bad copy
I can see that clearly in various places. Dan kindly sent me large photos by email.

it would be very interesting to know who built this ???

with kind regards,Guido

Thanks Guido for the good intel...Knowing this, I will not be installing this set on my build, as I am defiantly a stickler for details. B|
I just wish I had been a member of rctankwarfare.co.uk back when I bought these, so I would have had the excellent information from the members knowledge base. That being said,....like my grand pappy used to say..."Boy the good thing about making a mistake, is you can always fix it and move on". Thats the plan here...Thanks for all the assistance in my endeavor...
