Bit busy lately and still waiting for some proper electronics so not much progress to share.
Had some spare time today so did some driving around in the garden. Suspension behaves brilliant. The motors in this tank are probably 280s so they definitely need an upgrade as it's lacking some power.

I believe Tamiya use 380’s in the Sherman etc.
Good work

No progress sadly, the Sherman hasn't been outside since the last pics were taken back in March!Dandyfunk3 wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 2:02 am So hey RiskyR, any progress lately on this build? Any future plans to share/sell the stls... Love to have them!! Great work Breck
Everything works as it should now, I just need some proper electronics (got some old 27mhz HL stuff in this one now with a lazy battery) and I want to fit some working adjustable idlers, as I've bought some metal MATO idlers.
Sharing/selling the STL's is something I won't do at the moment, as I'm partnering with someone who is bulk printing the suspension which are going to be sold as kits.
It also needs some more testing.
For anyone interested here are some video's of the other Prototype (over in the USA) which has done some good testing already, without breaking anything.

Well I managed to do some more test driving lately. Everything is still behaving well apart from a single broken shock absorber. Not too bad I'd say.
Here a video of the 3D printed suspension doing its work.

Small hatches or not small hatches, that is the question
Only kidding, I'm not sure if there were many small hatched A1's converted to E8's, I just like the idea of a small hatch cast being available
