having already put photos on an existing post, noting that I can visit, I allow myself to create a new specific post
Hoping that this does not create, no worries? free to the moderators to correct …
Base: well-known Sherman Tamiya
work on upper chassis
recovery of existing wiring, and interior painting of the upper chassis and Turret the bottom piece is the support for the future elevation servo
Installation of reinforcement and protection plates on the blanks, are these my first welding achievements? so be indulgent Works on Turret,
Confection, and installation of the small anchor points of the protective tarpaulin of the mantle

Jofaur: what a fine start on your Sherman build. I see some detailed handiwork. I am especially impressed by the anchor points you have created for the tarpaulin.

Re: Custom Sherman Tamiya
thank you Mr.Professeur, I try to do my best, the anchor points have since been redone, because I didn't like it, I tried to reproduce the Schumo turret, very beautiful, but very expensive.
undercarriage:
replaced all of the bronze rings, by bearings, as well as the original shock absorber screws by mini 6-sided bolts,
taken together oil tank, with through brass rod, because all unstuck
I also took over the system royes tensioners? by adapting "Sintered bronze" rings and various mechanical works, with the few tools I have (no lathe) here is the result as I could not reuse the original cache? is redone in plastic card, which I would stick

With the sintered brass bushings you have added, and the reconstructed shock absorbers, you Sherman should run quite smoothly, and you will probably achieve better speed control, especially for slow running. The hub caps you have made from plastic card are surprisingly three-dimensional. You must have worked for hours to shape them.

Re: Custom Sherman Tamiya
The idlers on my eBay Sherman were bending the Tamiya metal lower. I installed a brace I found on Shapeways, but at this point I would not buy it at the current price. I paid less than half of that for it in metal.
Isn't inflation great? As you can see from my pics I even had to shim it as it was not wide enough. It does however do an excellent job of solidifying the rear end up and solving my de-tracking issues. I did have to modify the Sherman speaker to get it to fit as shown below.

Better shot of the modified speaker box:

Good morning,
Mr. The Professor
yes, choose bronze rings, because for the bearings? by tooled to adapt, correctly, but I think that should go. For the covers hubs, yes done hands, and still that in photograph is not the best.
tank me
for the tensioner wheels problem, I installed 5 mm Aluminum interior, on the other hand not checked if the HP passed? if not i will copy your idea

view of the turret, with the attachments (modified) for the tarpaulin, and after painting (and dust )
to adapt, I filled the two supports, in order to be able to have a thread
the mantle
having decided to make the canon functional? realization of a support for the servos
oddly shaped, but consider Tamiya system supportto adapt, I filled the two supports, in order to be able to have a thread

Re: Custom Sherman Tamiya
Hello, here it is, after a weekend of work, and finally, the realization of the barrel elevation and recoil, by servos on my Sherman Tam. Lots of trial and error, trial modifications, but it works
