A new thread for German V weapons

With the help of Martin, we have taken an existing model of a V1 Rocket (Doodlebug as the allied public called it) and have done some minor tweaks and changes.

We decided that since we have an upcoming show, it would be best to have a launch ramp for it.

So here are some pictures




The ramp can be configured as 6 sections or 4.
The pieces slide together on a central metal rod and then magnetise together. The legs also click into place.
The reason for doing this is so that it can be easily and quickly dismantled for shows and playing. Afterall, its a big unit so helps when you need to put it away.

Will made a Un-assembled V1 for his fathers G scale Garden Railway also

It will be interesting to see photos of the project as it proceeds and at the show. The 13-year-old in me would want a big rubber band for the ramp to, unh, ramp up the action.

Yes i keep getting asked will you launch it.... err no.
But if i slotted the internal metal tube and made a simple rocket sled for the tube with a hook, you could use a system to launch, but then the static V1 rocket becomes a box of little plastic pieces.
I dare say bigger scale e.g. 1/6, you could use a ducted fan in the V1 and make it rc plane and then it would be cool as. But i haven't reached that level of madness yet haha
