Hi, new member from Hertfordshire, England.
I am really sorry but I'm not that knowledgeable about tanks - I know, stone the heretic! But I am very much into films and I do have a specific question, so that's why I joined up. Thanks in advance for any help I receive here.

Mike Hi, Not Hertfordshire Instead I think you mean God's country,
Us carrot crunchers have to stick together.
Welcome to the Forum,
Do you have an RC Tank or is your interest toward the theoretical end of the subject ?
Whatever we shall do our best to answer any of your questions.

Welcome along Mr scout, its ok, we are very accepting of heretics here-we even let Mr Jarndice in !!
Back in the day he would have been in the Village square, in the stocks, with a sign on him that read "I must post photos"
Great to have you along from the Gold Coast of Oz out of New Zealand

Welcome, and a movie question!
Let's see...
No, those aren't real Tigers in Kelly's Heroes;
Yes, those are M60s (M48s?) masquerading as panzers in Battle of the Bulge;
Yes, that's a Chaffee on the last episode of M*A*S*H that leaves as a Sherman;
Yes, thats' a Sherman masquerading as a Panzer in Death Race (Doug McClure);
No, the M3 Lee in "Sahara" is not the same M3 Lee thats' in "1941", but it is possibly the M3 Lee in the Canadian War Museum.
Tanks rule.
Mike.

Hi, Location Scout: there are a lot of expert-textperts here who sit around all day working on Radio Controlled tanks and getting older by the minute. Hit us with the movie question so we can see who the real expert is.

Welcome Mike. I do believe that you've made a good choice joining up here. I was a lurker for awhile. I should have joined long ago. I'm a big military history fan in particular WWII Armor. I'm a new here too and a new guy to RC tanking and such. I mean I did RC back in the day but by that I mean like 30 years ago.
