Thank you, I will investigate those solutions.

Re: DUKW Scratch Builds
My first attempt at an anchor.

These may be the last pictures for a while on the 16th DUKW. The pond is frozen over. And I'm not sure where to head next on the duck. I doubt I'll build canvas covers for the rig because I spent so much time to keep things hidden under the deck. Plus I've been neglecting the Priest and M4A1.

Re: DUKW Scratch Builds
The 16th duck went for three swims today. The first was for a video that I failed to hit record on the camera and didn't learn until I got back in the house. The next two were for a video that come Hell or high water I will figure out how to post and the last for these pictures. It's hard for me to photo and drive at the same time.

Started to glue up some laminated .040 cards (3 layers) to create the top deck. That sheet is 15mm longer and 5.5mm wider than the top deck will be!

I'll figure this out eventually. My you tube account has three buttons that don't seem to work.
Create a channel
YouTube studio
and Upload video
For the record I've not ever posted a video to YouTube, but I do have an account....
I guess I'll have to call somebody younger.
Stand By. This will get done.......

Re: DUKW Scratch Builds
Talked with my daughter tonight and she tried to fix my YouTube account. But even she had issues, she kept getting errors. On her suggestion, I'll try to open another tomorrow and see if that will get me up and running.

Ok, MIKE and the rest of us.
My first video! Yes I need to learn to drive the thing but this is only the third test run (and 2nd successful - battery issue). Around these parts we grow rocks so it's a bit bumpy on my ramp.

I know that there is a not-so-subtle hint somewhere in your post, but I am going to refuse to find or address it.
On the other hand, that is a GREAT accomplishment to have not only created an accurate scale replica, but also to have made it operate in a scale fashion! Very cool!

Re: DUKW Scratch Builds
Figured out what I did wrong on the 16th duck's nose. I didn't factor in how the nose from a 2D drawing needed to be lengthened to wrap around the curve that makes up the nose. We'll see if this comes out better on the first try. About 3 tubes of Testor's glue and a fair amount of epoxy used up thus far in the build. I am building this one from the bottom up (similar to the manufacture on the real ones). But lots of room on this build.

T-case and mounting box. Mike came up with and modified the output shafts on the t-case to allow stuffing boxes and a more realistic driveshaft length. The stuffing tubes are the actual mount for the t-case and the hole above keeps the side to side in check.

The rear axle mount allows simple maintenance. Front axle will require slightly more.

Re: DUKW Scratch Builds
It looks out of proportion right now (too wide) but it is an optical illusion. The full size rig is 372" long & 99" wide. Scaled down to 1/9.25 scale is 40.2" x 10.7" (9.45 ×2.515 m & 1021 x 272mm for those of you in the civilized world).
